One diagram = multiple boards

Diagrams made with Terrastruct simply communicate more, and more clearly. Traditional tools are deeply rooted in treating one diagram as a single image. Terrastruct's UX revolves splitting up complexity into multiple, individually simple boards. For example, layers split your diagram along abstraction levels. Scenarios add critical information to each layer of how it behaves under each scenario, like an error to a server depicted.

GUI vs meets IDE

GUI mode: All of your familiar tools for diagramming are still with you. It's hard to beat the intuitive ease of dragging and dropping a box. It's also precise, which means you can place and resize however you want, down to the pixel. Terrastruct has a fully-featured GUI editor you'll feel right at home with.

IDE mode: Often times you don't have an exact image of what you want to diagram. It just needs to show the model you have in mind, and there's a 100 ways that can look good. These structured diagrams are best made with text. Extremely fast, easy to edit, stress-free. All backed by the open-source modern diagramming language, D2.

IDE mode includes GUI features too, and when you perform these actions, it's all saved back into the text. Useful for doing things that are hard to with pure text, like changing colors or making a specific connection.
